Wow where did this year go? As I get olders I feel like time just slips away with a blink of an eye. I remember when summer seemed to last forever, now, I want to know where did almost 3 months go? I have been soo busy with photos, ball games, kids, life in general. Now that summer is winding down, I'm hoping to have more time for myself and my beloved camera.

 

It's been awhile...

Since I stopped long enough to enjoy my camera this summer. And here it is almost over. I guess I'll start enjoying fall soon. Speaking of fall I start looking forward to the fair and being able to enter some of my favorite photos into the Ag building. Last year I entered a total of 6 and took 1st place on 3. I'm hoping to do equally as well this year.

show up already spring

I tend to put the good ol' camera away for the winter. Nothing fun to shoot. Nothing colorful to look at. Only White,grey or black. So I have nothing to show. Nothing to print. Nothing to comment on.

The fun part of winter is the too short of a weekend where I get to go away and scrap all weekend with only my pictures, lots of tape runners, and LOTS of friends. I get a chance to recall all the fun I had with my camera the past year and where I could become a bit better in the coming year.

I'm looking forward to the spring with warmer tempratures, flowers and color popping out from the frozen tundra of a ground. With those changes, I get to dust off the camera and I already have one scheduled shoot for the beginning of April. I'm excited about. I'm now looking for cute little ways to make this shoot special for a 4 yr old and an 11 mo. old. So with that said, I think I'm going shopping tomorrow.

I also just ordered my first large order of sr. pictures. I'm quite happy with the results and already looking for fun places for my second Sr. picture shoot.

Well, enough with rambling. Lets hope Spring is around the corner rather than weeks away.

Sr. Picture Adventure

I had the pleasure of taking these photos before the weather turned. Taylor is a family friend which made it all the easier to take these. The location was amazing and I'm hopeful to use it again!

New Photo props

With fall being my favorite season, I'm bound to take more pictures than I should. Today, I went out and bought a handful of props to help with my photos. Jackson was my great little model as I tried them out.

Pumpkin Patch Mini Shoot Fall 2010

Katelyn had a field trip to the pumpkin patch with her 1st grade trip. I had a chance to take Jackson along and do a mini shoot with both Kate and Jack. Fun time for all

Pumpkins, Pumpkins....

This past week I drove out to an Amish family and bought pumkins. I came home with about 10 pumpkins and I'm thinking I'm ready for more. I know that I had fun with pumpkins at the lake with these photographs of my kids. I can't wait to go back once the leaves start changing. I'm thinking I just may have to carry a couple pumpkins in the back of the truck just in case I find the perfect fall photo op. ;)

Off to the fair.

This week the fair came to town. With it is the excitement of the kids, animals and of course my entries into the county fair. I try to enter each year. However, last year I missed the deadline, but not this year. I entered in my favorite category, Photography. Then I branched out a bit with a jar of Elderberry Jelly. I was very surprised that 3 out of my 7 photos received a first place award. And my jelly took 1st place to. Below you'll find the entries I made. So I believe 4 first places out of 8 entries isn't too shabby!

Oh today was wonderful, a lazy day spent at home then a trip to the folks. On the drive out, I decided to make a mini shoot for the girls at the lake. One of my favorite places in the whole world. I've spent my fair share of time there, and now my kids are finding a love for it as well.
